Just to give you guys the heads up, I finally got the last to pieces of artwork in, and I still need to make a few minor tweaks to some text, then hopefully it'll be off to the final edit, before posting.

Which adventure is this?

Dom put together an awesome little freebie called "Mall Madness".  See Reply #534 (in this thread) for more details.

This is a slight upgrade with more material for you to use. There's a few minor changes to be made, some typos to be fixed, and then a final read through before it's posted.

Yeah, one of the characters could create Illusions B, special effect solid light.  I rolled badly for the H.A.R.M. Suit Laser Rifles.. they could not breach the walls he errected fast enough to cut loose into the crowds.

Also one of the characters had paralysis ray, special effect solid darkness.. she would lock a target in a block of solid darkness.  She actually missed several times but when she hit it was devastating.

They protected the crowds and then the last two H.A.R.M. suits were 'scooped up' shoved with a created bull-dozer shovel of animated solid light out the hole they made entering the mall.  It was a running battle then across the Empire Cityscape as they tried to escape.. one actually did.

Two civilians were hit and hurt... but there were no actual innocent casualties.

T-Bolt, thanks for posting that. I'd really be interested in hearing from anyone else that's run the adventure as well.

No problem.. my next adventure is "Flying Saucer: Vessel of Abduction"

Possibly followed by "From the Depths of Space"... but we'll see.

That's funny.  I just pulled up my PDF of "Flying Saucer" yesterday, looking it over a little bit and contemplating running it down the road.  Must be the X-Files campaign I've been working on that's got me thinking about that...  Cool

Just an update on where I'm with my WWII work that will make up 2039.

Home Front is written and submitted to FGU, just waiting in the queue for the artist work to begin. Home Front is set in North America in 1941, and it's my first pack of mini-adventures. It contains 4 mini-adventures and 1 IOU (Integrated Optional Upgrade). This will probably appear as 2039a.

World War II Super Soldiers will probably be about 40 to 44 pages when all is said and done. In addition to complete write-ups on the 30 characters, there's details on support characters, inventions, lairs and related locations. This will probably appear as 2039b, and it's also waiting in the queue for the assigned artist.

Peril in Panama is the book I'm currently working on. "When a series of strange occurances paralyze the panal canal, it's up to our heroes to come and help Panama and the American military before it's too late!" While I'm a little behind where I wanted to be, I'm pretty pleased with how this one is turning out. It's requires quite a bit more research because the location is quite specific. This will be 2039c when I get this submitted to FGU.

Keep your stick on the ice!

I should have mentioned, what I thought was going to be Frontlines, is now the Peril in Panama adventure. If there's enough interest in these WWII adventures, then Frontlines may be a book set in the European theatre.

That's a better question for the powers that be at FGU. I've submitted 2 of the 3 books and they've accepted them. Peril in Panama isn't finished yet, but it's coming along. It's possible that some of my work will be the next up after Department 88, but I can't say for certain.

My real life got hijacked by the flood that hit my city and a major city project that was assigned to me. That said, my real life challenges are getting resolved, so I expect to have more material ready before the end of the year.

I am but we made it through unscathed (except for the collateral damage that my wife lost a good bit of income for about two months when she couldn't make it to houses to do her tutoring).

No, I'm in Calgary, Alberta. On June 20th, we had what scientists are calling a "Once in a Century" flood. While my house and home were also untouched, as a City worker I had to put in many extra hours and long days to get things functioning somewhat normally again.

On the plus hand, a survey that went out this week by Ipsos-Reid saying 99% of the 1000 or so people surveyed were satisfied with how the City of Calgary responded to the flood. It's a good feeling to see that we managed to get it right.

Here's to the City of Boulder!

...and a raise of the glass to Calgary as well! The last time I was there was about 35 years ago, so I don't remember much other than that it was fun. We were on a month-long family vacation crossing Canada and the U.S.

You're one up on me.
I have never had the pleasure of experiencing Boulder.
In fact, I haven't been in the USA for 14 years or so.
I need to travel more...

I guess it's safe to announce that I have another project in the works. Scott has approved the manuscript I sent in, and Joe Singleton has been commissioned as the artist. Once a few more things are finalized, I'll post the title of the project. And at some point, a sneak peak of a piece of Joe's artwork.

Yahoo!!

And the finishing touches are all that's left for Peril in Panama. I expect it will be finished completely by the 14th.

Then I take a break from World War II for a little while. Smiley

Just to give you all an update, Joe is plugging away on the artwork, and editing has begun on the script, so things are moving along nicely. If I get permission, I see about posting a piece of preview art.

Unfortunately, there's a bit of a bad news to share. Earlier this week, Joe Singleton, the artist on my upcoming project, wrecked his car. Fortunately Joe wasn't injured, but his car was totaled. But that's a slightly more pressing matter that working on this, and a few other projects, so things are going to be slowed down a bit.
