I think I have one more left. Diesel we can interface your helmet  by unloading the frequency codes and the frequency changer & scrambler algorithm.

Machinist tosses the comm. unit to Thunderbolt and provides Deisel what he needs to intergrate it as part of his helmet.

"Excellent! Thank you!" Diesel quickly goes to work, hooking the comm unit to his helmet, making the necessary changes.

GM to the group at the airport: As you all board the aircraft, you're greeted by your pilot, who turns, and removes her helmet.

"Welcome aboard gentlemen. I'm Elizabeth Rodgers, but you can call me Izzy"

Thunderbolt is startled at the pretty blonde woman removing her flight helmet.  His eyes widen and he is momentarily stunned.

But quickly he recovers smiling gently.

"Uh... Hi, Miss Rodgers...er... is there a rank to that... Lieut or Captain...?"

...he seems a little self-conscious suddenly.

{Get a grip, thunder-hormones!  She's not that pretty...!  But her green eyes do remind me of... someone else ~ with dark hair and dancer's legs...  Grrr... STAY FOCUSED Idiot!!}

Rampart walks away from confronting Mr. Smith and up the ramp to join the Team. Suddenly from the cockpit of the Thunder Wing, the figure of a woman in a flight suit enters the passenger cabin. Glad that at least the visor hides his eyes he listens as she introduces herself as the ship's pilot. Rationally he knows things have changed tremendously since his disappearance, but some things still hit him a little harder than others the first time he runs across the situation in real life.

A woman? I'd read the Air Force had started letting them fill combat roles in the 90's but . . . sigh . . . just something else to get use to.

Stepping over and offering his hand in greeting. "Nice to meet you Izzy. I'm Rampart. So you're this beautiful bird's pilot are you? I look forward to flying at your side."

Machinist boosted his comm signal hoping a stronger frequency would cut through the static.

Skyhawk, please report on current situational status

After introductions, Rampart casually starts familiarizing with some of the avionics on the Thunder Wing. For some reason the newer technologies were giving him a tough time. Nothing I can't handle, it just seems to take some serious study when I run across the higher tech stuff. Overhearing Power Chord and Machinist conversation a thought occurs to him. "Izzy ... all this high-tech gear you have on board ... any chance you might something on board that can help boost Machinist signal to our friend?"

GM to Skyhawk: Shoot me a PM

GM to Stalker: PM inbound in a bit.

GM Replies to T-Bolt:

"Actually, it's Special Agent...Special Agent Pilot, to be exact.  But don't worry, a lot of people make that mistake, and assume I'm military." You're that new kid, Thunderbolt, right. I've read some of your file.

GM to Rampart:

Accepting your hand shake - "Thanks, so you're the new guy I heard about?  Heard you were some kind of pilot. Tell you what, if you give me a few minutes I'll show you what she can do."

GM to Power Chord:

"Thanks, Power Chord...right?

GM to the Machinist: Even with your boosted signal, you're still having trouble cutting through all the static. You know it's not atmospheric, so it must be something else.

Izzy to the group:

- Hey guys, while I'd really like to take the time to great all of you properly, I've got orders, and I need to get this bird airborne, so if all of you will be so kind as to strap yourselves in, I can finish up my pre-flight checks, and get clearance to get out of her. Ok?

With that, she returns to the cockpit to begin her pre-flight checks, and get clearance from the tower. Anyone not wishing to fly aboard the aircraft should exit at this time. Izzy isn't going to open her up full throttle, as you'll be flying over a populated area. It'll take about 15 minutes to complete her checks, and get clearance from the tower. During that time, you guys can talk amongst yourselves.

Once you're airborne, the aircraft will turn and head west, over the countryside, headed toward the Jonesville/Thomasville area (the two largest towns in the county). The flight will only take around 15-20 minutes before you come up Jonesvill proper.

GM to the group: To be continued in - Welcome to Jonesville, it's a Nice Little Town.
