Okay guys, I've got some sad news, for the past few weeks, I've been working 18-20 hours a day, and there's no break in sight, and I'm having trouble keeping up with my commitments. After giving a lot of thought, I'm sorry to announce, it sucks, but I'm going to have place the game on hiatus, until further notice. I had some fun stuff planned for you guys too, so hopefully I'll actually get a chance to implement those plans, at some point in the future.

I wish I could keep it going, but with my current schedule (My average day begins at 4:30 AM, and ends between 11 PM and Midnight), there's just no way for me to do it. Plus I've had several days where I didn't get to bed at all.

With any luck sooner Smiley

Yeah ... way premature I know, but there's a couple Empire City characters I was really enjoying following and look forward to seeing (maybe joining with someday) on the trail of the "bad guys".

Is it wierd I was enjoying Dom's MiB NPC's alot also?

Cheesy

Ha I knew Hawk would reply first Cool We definitely need to get into a gaming group together.

Definitely going to take abit for Dom to get settled in. I'm sure the internet helps, but even without the rehab and holidays, being out of the country just creates a gap in your life IMO.

I know everytime I came back from an oversea deployment it felt like I was lost for a few months til I  got my feet under me and caught up with everything again.

All the booze probably didn't help much either.  Tongue

When I do get things rolling again, I plan on making a few tweeks, which I will get into later, to hopefully make the game run smoother, and faster. I'm also planning on making use of Jeff,s task resolution system. I'll be emailing everyone sometime in mid Jan explaining the changes.

Which characters are your favorites? If you could join, what kind of character would you want to play?

I don't know that I could be said to have a favorite. Both teams have some pretty cool characters on them. Jack and Stalker post were always interesting, Machinist and Diesel both seemed on the cusp of becoming strong characters, Skyhawk and Power Chord had some pretty cool power sets, really just a lot of good characters all around in my opinion.

As far as me that would depend on a number of factors. If I'm the new guy usually I like to find a niche that the team needs filled but is still fun for me. Theres a number of powers I never played with as a PC. It's different when your a GM. As a GM I'll cheat left and right to make the story exciting for the players, to reward good play or punish bad, but as a PC you live with what you got.

I've never played a Speedster, a Size Changer, and never really invested myself in an Energy Projector (though that might be changing soon). An ocean based character would be cool but there's a reason Aquaman has his reputation Smiley Most likely I'd just roll a set of powers and bounce it back and forth with Dom til it clicked for both of us.

Take it easy Hawk. Have a Happy Holiday buddy  Cool

Smiley Hi folks.  Just popping in to say hi... and don't forget me.

I know Thunderbolt was real flashy and such... I hope he was not too over the top.

Yes, it definitely was fun. I enjoyed playing Diesel and would again in a heartbeat. Naw T-bolt wasn't too flashy. It was enjoyable, since I'm not a great writer myself to see others take up the descriptive banner.

Should we take a stab at redoing our skills in line with Jeff's skill set (just to get reacquainted with our characters after all)?

I still have to sit down and write everything out (the goal is to do it next week), once I do, I'll give you guys a head's up, and a week or two to get everything together. For now, I'd go back and read over the info I posted on the murders and town BSI wants checked out.

That sounds great! Bringing the game back! Hey if you are considering new players, please consider Ranger. He has joined a group of my friends playing on line in a blue-book/post format. Think he would be a great addition.

Let us know when we are back on

Appreciate that TB. I'd love to play with you guys but I'm sure Dom has plenty of things to do before having chance to invite in a new character

I remain hopeful though.  Enjoy the tweaks he has planned for you guys. I hope he's rode testing some 3.0 ideas

Just so you guys know, I'm going to try and kick the game off again, around the end of may. I'll shoot out a group email ahead of time, to find out exactly who's interested, and then start working things out from there. One additional quick note, I'll be making a few changes to the skills system, as I'm planning on using Jeff Dee's Task resolution tables, and trying to speed the game up a bit.
