No problem at all, hawk!  Sorry it took so long!

I went with the black and inked the whole thing (to show a better contrast).  Here's a picture using a camera, but I'm going to try to scan it to see if we can get a better copy.

And here's a (temporary) image of Thunderbolt.  TB, do you prefer more of a crimson (red) maroon or more of a purple?  If you use Google and pull up "maroon" and click "images" you'll see both listed.

Is this more what you're looking for?  I still might try to ink it, to help the contrast some.

Tried again without the flash; I think these look better.

Here's the three again:

Ranger, if it's not too much trouble, these can at least be used for now (as their avatars), which we tinker with the final looks (provided everyone is cool with them).

You know Majestic... looking at it.. I'm pretty sure his undershirt with his Thunderbolt emblem on it is much darker than his mask which is supposed to be the same color 'black' - which I know you can't really match without spoiling all the detail {something I had originally mentioned to my artist... lol}!  I think you're right, make the mask - ears included Maroon like his duster so its obvious 'picture-wise' that he IS wearing a mask.  Of course leaving his 'spidy eyes' white but also for added contrast make his actual eyes yellow to see if the contrast is better.  Leaving his neck his skin tone with his fingers shows indeed he is not Caucasian... though perhaps a slightly darker shade might make that more obvious but its not that big a deal honestly.

Great Work!  Thank you VERY Much! Smiley

Yeah, the pictures don't make his darker skin tone as obvious; that's easy to darken up a bit.

So do you want the entire eyes yellow/amber? (the "whites of his eyes"?)  Or just the pupils?

And do you prefer the maroon to be more purple?  or more red?

Ok.  Eyes white,  Pupils yellow/amber, yes.

As for the shade of maroon you are using.. that just fine as it is.. just what I had in mind! Smiley

OK gents, here's the deal. The simple fact is that right now I'm swamped. We're extremely sort handed at work. I'm pulling a minimum of 8-12 hrs. of OT every week. I'm also in the process of completely re-writing our policy and procedure manual, and work up a training program for our Emergency Response Team. I'm also still working a part time gig, as I'd committed to them at least until April. And I'm still in the National Guard for a few more months, before retiring with 20 years of service. I've also got some other paying gaming commitments I need to get caught up on, so as not to put the publishers behind in their production schedule, any more than I already have. And I do occasionally like to spend time with my family, and sleep.

So, I'm asking you guys what it is you want to do. Do you want to just put the game on hold, roll on to another game, or just pack it in?

Totally understood Dom, I'm pretty much in the same boat.  I do love the world you've created for us, and I've had a blast playing with this team... hate to give it up, but totally understand.

I'd leave it to you, if you see picking it back up later in the summer, I'm good.  But if you don't see that happening with what you've got going on then I'm good too.

Gotta do what's best for you man.  Don't worry about us.

Dom we are your friends pal and support anything you feel that is best for you. Real life is what it is and anyone who has met you knows your heart is always in the right place. You've created a great little universe with vast areas I'm sure you're itching to play test.

Whether you're feeling it with the current group of heroes or have a desire to go another direction when real life time allows you know you have people here who are excited to explore that universe with you no matter which direction you decide to go.

For myself. I'll assume we'll be on a bit of a hiatus until you get your obligations caught up ... and by the way much props and congratulations on your upcoming Guard Retirement.

Nice post Hawk!

Alright, its settled... I'll start a "Thunderbolt - Year 1", log as well.  It will be set in the days just after his gaining his metahuman powers showing how he gained his mastery of them and how he developed into the Vigilante he is.

I hope you will all enjoy it or at least get a good laugh out of it. Smiley

Tech-speak, high flying action, violence and a complicated romance. They'll be making a television series out of it next week.  Cool

You're welcome sir. I plan on adding a bit more before the day is out. I'm also trying to answer a couple of questions that got thrown my way, so that people can use the info in their fiction. Once I finish that, I want to roll in some stuff that you guys used for your origin stories, so you'll have a bit more to play around with.
