What you have posted is AWESOME!!!

It is so much more than what I am use to getting.  I can't think of any questions.

V&V character creation is too much fun.

It's all great, personally. There isn't any additional info that I need. You've already given more than most do.

At this point, I'm guessing that I'll be getting my debriefing as to my assignment during game time.

As long as we can ask clarifications later, I'm comfortable with what you've given.

I agree, I think we've got a great base.  I usually just start out with a little background and a module, this is an awesome quantity of information!

Hammer's character should be up later this evening, and you guys should also be getting a little something to get this sucker rolling after that.

Hey guys, sorry for the delay, but I got busy with RL stuff, and have been tied up. I should actually have Power Chord up to night (promise), and then I'll be sending out a second group email (still waiting for a couple of replies), asking about your normal day to day routines, and some type of response to "Breaking News". Until then, hang tight.

Jon, Empire City's Power Chord, has gone above and beyond by putting together a blog, that details the group's adventures - http://empirecitysprotectors.blogspot.com/

I'm my opinion, it's pretty damn cool. So, if you get a minute, swing by, and check it out. leave a note, and let everyone know what you think.

Sorry for the delay. I've been tied up with some stuff for work, and it's taking me longer than I thought to rework everyone's character sheet.  Embarrassed

I hope (keeping my fingers crossed) to at least post the opening of the next installment either Monday or Tuesday, then go back, and finish the sheets. This way everyone can work on their responses.

no problem.  Just expressing enjoyment.  I am not wanting you to feel any pressure to get things done.  Work at whatever pace works best for you.

My feeling on timing is: if it takes 2 weeks between actions and 1 month to set up the next installment, then fine.  If it takes more time it is fine too.

I am in this for the long haul.  So whatever gives you the time you need to make it right and lasting, is fine by me.

PBEM is the only gaming I have access to and I want to make it a success, even if the most important item I can contribute from time to time is patience.

Same for me... I have to apologize for the lack of response myself. It's always easier if there's a deadline to work towards, else I tend to procrastinate, because I'm being pulled in so many direction these days. I used to "play" (type) during lulls at work (15 minutes here or there), but there hasn't been much in lulls since the beginning of the year.

And entirely too much overtime.

But like Cougar, I'm in for the long haul. I like this game and the characters. It's shaping up to be a good one.

I'm good also, you'll just have to reign us in if we go off on too much of a tangent.

I get the feeling that we have been looking for this kind of creative outlet. Smiley

Not until he makes his debut. Lips Sealed  I'm mean like that. Seriously, I want him to be a surprise when he makes his first appearance.

Don't forget to kick a can, and mutter under your breath.  Grin Wink the plan it to introduce you within the next week or so. If you get some time, read over the blog, and it should bring you up to speed on the events of the 1st story arc.

Hi all!

I'll be joining your game shortly and I was asked to introduce myself and tell you a little bit about my gaming background, etc.

I've played V&V since 1st ed. It was my third RPG after D&D and Runequest.

I played heavily for a number of years then took a silly detour to go to graduate school and have kids.

Over the past seven years or so, I've been getting back into gaming again, starting with The Fantasy Trip, including a few attempts at running a PBEM game, and then D&D 3.5 along with Star Wars Saga d20. About 4 years ago I got hooked on a game called Savage Worlds which consumed a great chunk of my RPG energy. I have converted a few settings and adventures for two companies (Dark City Games and Battlefield Press) and am the current editor of the Savage Worlds Fanzine Shark Bytes.

I have the SW superhero setting Necessary Evil, but it never felt quite right, probably because it couldn't compare to my memories of V&V. I wanted to play superheroes again so I started getting interested in returning to V&V, went searching on line and found this great site and this great group!

I won't say anything about my character yet, but hopefully you will see him soon! If you have any questions about me, let me know.

Well, we still got to get Stacy in this... not sure if her character is ready or not...
Mine is, and its a weird one powerwise, but explainable when I drink a couple of beers and go into a long detailed explanation of my own visions of how the universe really works, thought projection techniques, blah blah blah... and the fact that I'm basically playing me playing a supered up version of my old indy pro wrestling gimmick Slik Slander...
(yes, I still have the masks in the sock drawer)

and that's Slik as in Slick... not Silk... (I hated that when we had some damn inept $5 paid announcer on the mic)  Roll Eyes

As much as I hate to admit it, I'm kind of excited about the new characters myself, as their backgrounds have given me a few ideas. Hopefully you guys will enjoy the stuff I've got planned (you may want to read over some of the news reports for clues of some of the things going on in EC). The plan, if everything goes corectly, is to try to design adventures that allow each character a moment in the spotlight, as well as giving each of you a chance to develop their personalities, supporting cast, etc., and most importantly, to have some fun. Now if I can just get Stacy to drop me a line (hint, hint  Wink ) I can start working out a character with her.
